Homeowners and many business premises have throughout the UK installed many millions of square metres of block paving. The product transforms the areas with which it has been layed, however without regular Power Washing these very costly installations soon become very dirty, weed infested and generally very “fatigued and eye sore” in appearance. The drive by appeal is lost and “first impressions count” a saying used by many estate agents wich can fail miserably if your driveway or patio area is not regularly cleaned and Maintained.

At our initial FREE site visit M.Miller will ascertain and discuss with you a recommended course of action for the area requiring Driveway Pressure Cleaning. If the area is exhibiting excessive weed, moss or algae growth we will pre-treat the site with a weed killer solution and then leave to enable the treatment to become fully effective. If any oil or diesel staining is present then this would be treated at the same time and the treated area covered to allow the chemical cleaner to absorb as much of the spillage as possible.

After a suitable period of time we will conduct a full Industrial Pressure Cleaning & Power Washing of the entire area removing the remaining weed growth along with residual moss and algae infestations. We recommend that both freshly cleaned and new installations are sealed to keep weed growth to a minimum, enhance the colour structure of the newly restored surface and alleviate any soiling from oil stains etc. For clean only work we will return to re sand the the area when weather conditions permit.

For customers requesting the sealant service we will leave for 1-2 days (depending on weather conditions) to ensure as much moisture has evaporated before reintroducing the kiln dried sand and applying the first coat of top quality sealant. This period of drying is vital do not be mislead by contractors who suggest they can seal “the same day” as the sealant will take on a milky appearance, this is where moisture is trapped beneath the sealer.

Following the second coat application it is recommended that vehicles are kept off the area for 24 hours and foot traffic is kept to a minimum for 2-3 hours following the last coating.
